Berry Christmas Card

I wanted to share another card we made at a recent Stamp-a-Stack class. I absolutely love anything with Stampin' Up!'s Chocolate Chip color! This was a fairly simple design but makes for a striking card. It uses the Berry Christmas stamp set from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

I think reality hit yesterday when I realized we only have 2 1/2 weeks until Christmas, and I still have so MUCH to do! I'm also anxiously awaiting Mr. Brown (aka the UPS man)...okay, maybe I'm kind of stalking him today. It will be like Christmas today when I open my new box of goodies I've preordered from the Occasions Mini and Sale-a-Bration which both start January 5. I'll post projects I've made with the new products as soon as possible.

Stamp Camp Project #1

My Delightful Decorations Stamp Camp was Monday night and everyone had a fun time stamping and using the stamp set and matching punch. I think one of the favorite things they used and learned was the Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint from the Holiday Mini catalog (item #116806). Get a mini mister bottle and mix 7 drops of Shimmer Paint and about 1 oz of rubbing alcohol--mine was 70% alcohol. The picture doesn't do it justice, but what a beautiful result! The card size is 4.25 x 4.25.

STAMPIN' SUPPLIES USED:

~Chocolate Chip Cardstock
~Whisper White Cardstock
~Flocked DSP from the Christmas Cocoa Specialty paper

~Champagne Mist Shimmer Pain
~Sparkle sentiment from Warm Words stamp set

Have a terrific Thursday!

With thanksgiving tomorrow, I thought I'd share a recent picture of my two beautiful children. This was taken in October on our annual family trip to Silver Dollar City in Branson. The temperatures that weekend were unseasonably cool (actually cold in the 40s...brrr!). We wore coats, hats, and gloves! Brian's mom and dad were able to join us this year and despite the colder temps we had a great time!

Today's Card Idea

Three of my very favorite Stampin' Up! colors...Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Kraft. This stamp set is called Very Thankful and is located at the very back of the catalog. It is the 2009-2010 Ronald McDonald House stamp set. When you purchase this stamp set, Stampin' Up! donates $2 to the RMH. What a great cause...and a cute little stamp set!

Happy Stampin'!

Lovin' the Bloggin'!

Okay, I'm starting to get the hang of this. The more I play around with the format, the more I learn. And, let me just say, it's a whole lot easier to work on this new venture when children are sleeping and the husband is on furlough! More time to dedicate to the learning process. I hope you are all having a wonderful day! Only two more days until Thanksgiving! Be watching for card samples to be posted very soon...(as soon as I figure that out too!)

Well, I'm at it again! I've been working all day on my blog design. Bear with me because this is a work in progress. I still have lots to learn!

Organizing the Creation Station

Well, it can't be put off any longer! I can't create anything with my stamp room in such disarray! I guess it's time to organize the Creation Station! I think I could definitely win one of those contests for the messiest stamp/scrapbook rooms. Maybe I should take a before and after picture. I'll see what I can get done in the next couple of hours until Madelyn gets home from school and Mason is asleep. I'll be posting pictures of the cards we made at Friday and Saturday's Stamp-a-Stack. My favorite card used the Season of Friendship set. Check back soon to see pics! Have a great day and stamp something!

Creation Station Organization

It's time to clean out the stamp/scrapbook space! What a mess it has become! This will take some time...any organization tips you can share with me?
