Snowman Pencil Treat

This is a quick and easy favor I did for Madelyn's kindergarten class in December. I found these cute little snowman Peeps (Peeps aren't just for Easter anymore!) I put them inside the smallest size cello bag and tied them to the top of the pencil with ribbon and added a tag. For the tag I used the tag-shaped snowman stamp from the Level 2 Hostess set on page 14 of the Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. I stamped the image in Bermuda Bay ink on Whisper White Cardstock and then colored in the nose and band on the hand with Stampin' Write Markers. It was then punched out with the Small Tag Punch and layered with Real Red Cardstock punched out with the Large Tag Punch.
I made 20 of these for her class Christmas party. I will post another pencil treat idea for Valentine's Day tomorrow! Let me know if you have any questions.

Helping Haiti

On January 12, 2010 a magnitude 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti, leaving in its wake devastation so overwhelming that the Haitian people and their leaders can only look for help from the outside to cope. From now until February 28, 2010, Stampin’ Up!® will set aside $2 from the sale of every I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (Occasions Mini Catalogue page 14) and donate it to the American Red Cross’ Haiti Relief and Development Fund. The Red Cross is already well established in Haiti, and this money will be used to provide immediate relief and long-term support through supplies, technical assistance and other support to help those in need.

I'm Back!

Okay, after a few weeks of no blog posts, I'm ready to get back to it. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday season. Things have slowed down a bit here and now I'm ready to start stampin' again! I'm starting the new year off with my first class on Friday, January 15 from 6:30-9:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 16 from 12:30-3:30 p.m. with a Very Valentine Card Class. You can choose which class works for your schedule. In this fun class, you will make 8 cards (2 each of 4different designs) using some new stamps, punches, and Designer Series Paper.
COST: $15

Also, coming up quickly is my Mom & Me Class on Monday, January 18 from 1:30-3:30. Kids bring your mom, dad, grandparent, or babysitter with you and enjoy some stamping time together. You will decorate a cute little Valentine mailbox and make a treat to put inside! Ages 4+.
